I love poetry and short stories, and I love that this site has a section for stories, but they don't seem to get much attention. Maybe it's just me! LOL
I thought it would be fun to have a poetry thread, I am positive that there are some creative minds on here, and I'd love to meet you!
No limits on content, be dirty, be gruesome, I don't care! Just write!

I'll go first!
Kindled:
Firelight ignites passion
so deep, as the heat
embraces bare skin.
Hungry lips trace searing lines
down trembling shapes,
influencing arch to every touch.
Eager clenches, fingers entangled in hair.
Ears blissfully bathing
in sweet bated breath.
Moonlight illuminates
beautifully moistened sheath
as pleasure seeps from every pore.
Engaging eyes brashly open,
breathless lips in begging, stutter
"More"
Lust filled thrusts
in shudders of ecstasy,
blurring the line between reality and fantasy.
At passion's peak, vibrates pure love.
Still night, we unabashedly disrupt
as the star lit sky above us,
profoundly erupts. -Ashlyn

time remains a constant
not knowing nor having any limits
yet it is contained in the minds of those
who would otherwise be lost in it's
in it's eternal embrace....

Sometimes I wish that I could open my mind and splash it on a page for all to see. Sometimes I wish that everyone could see every part of me, the raw me. Sometimes I wish it was all out there on the table, every wish, every thought, every intricate dream that passes behind my eyes, but then I remember the beauty of looking into someones eyes and not knowing the mysteries that lie within. The beauty of getting to know someone one word, one look, one touch at a time. It would be easier to show you all of me, all at once...but wheres the Art in that? Ashlyn **thoughts for a poem on this come to mind...coming soon**

Words can just be letters organized into a defined order...
Words can be put into any order, but there is the rub...
Words can mean so much more went used together...
Words can have double meanings...
Words can have unintended meanings...
Words can be read in many different ways...
Words, In the end are not the Good or the Bad...
Words just are Words...
- Concepts Communicated are so much more than Words...

Sometimes I wish you could pick me apart,
hold open my heart and view whats inside.
All the colors of my mind splashed upon a blank page,
every secret, every dream, every fear
I can no longer hide.
Sometimes I wish you could strip away the flesh
that envelops me, for it is not me.
Uncover the layers of my soul
that define me.
Unbind me.
For I wish to be naked, an exhibit to behold.
You couldn't dress me up within your perception
couldn't judge me
when there is nothing left to be told.
But alas, I am a mystery to solve
A beautiful conundrum
An intricate design that lives to evolve!
Better known within each moment,
every smile, every word, every warm embrace.
For I realize it is not enough for you to just view me,
but experience me!
As I bare my soul at a graceful pace.
Sometimes I wish you could examine all that I am, all at once.
Immediately recognize the pure beauty that resides within the vast...
