Thank U Shooters for saluting all the Nurses, we do a hard job and the month of May is out time to sort of shine! Regardless of what some think, RN's have a very difficult & high stress job, a job that we take home with us on many days.
So this little note here has made my day a little brighter and put a smile on my face..

priceless beauty! keep up the great job of being a great nurse! in my area nurses are needed like crazy for some reason, i think they need mostly RNs though

I have worked with many nurses during my military career, from the wards, emergence departments, in flight, and in war... the list it goes on and on. It takes a very special type of dedication to be a nurse and a very special type of person. I know and understand just how physically and physiologically demanding it can be. I know that many nurses take their concerns about a patent(s) home with them at the end of a shift. I don't think many people realize how being a nurse can effect ones life.
Lacey I know you well and I for one would have been honored to have worked with you. Especially with you as a flight nurse on Missions of Mercy/life flights (or what ever one many want to call them...Dust-off to me). I know this is a passion of yours as well as mine...its an exhilarating job!
Lacey I want to thank you for your service to your patents. I just know you have been a positive in their lives and you will never be forgotten by many for your loving and tender professional care.

Thank you Lacey. I to think Nurses are under payed .... who is the one that is there when the Dr is not...who is there in most cases and holding the hand of a dying patent when no one else is there, the nurse. Yes I can go on and on as well.
Yes I to know what its like to lose a patent had have to tell a family member.... And like many nurses also know what its like to comfort a grieving family member until a another family member or clergy show up.
Nurses are a strange breed indeed willing to put themselves though extreme highs to the deepest lows that you can feel. The extremely quiet shift to absolute (to what I call) absolutely controlled and well trained bedlam for a life and death emergence. And after all of that go home as many do and be a wife/husband and mother/father and act as if there was nothing unusually that happened that day...well nothing unusual for you, the nurse that is.
Nurses are the glue that holds the whole medical world together...in that I have no doubt.
