Lets face it - Beauty Contests are full of Plastic surgery fake Beauty... but if you actually have all that Surgery and go all the way with it - should you be kicked out of the Miss Universe Pageant??? Miss Canada was....
What do you think about her?
Would you call her Pretty?
She beat a lot of Competitors to get to where she was... Bet they were mad - was it just catty jealous women that got her kicked off because of her surgeries?
She is all woman after all....
Now....
Have a look ;-}} What you think - pretty, a contender... potential winner... or - What you think???

Do you blame the woman that had the surgery R do you blame the men that put high attention on the "perfect" woman? Women today are under the misconception that they need to be perfect, small with big boobs & a big tushy, no lines, we are becoming more & more like the Stefford wife's, the look of no flaws, you see girls as young as 12 having surgeries now to enhance their beauty, I think we are living in the age where being natural is now old fashion, to the
world where so many feel that boobs need to be big and butts need enhanced & no wrinkles to be seen on a woman's face.
So really who do u blame? The woman that had the surgeries or the people & media that made her feel that being natural was not good enough.
I promote natural now on a few of the sites that I am on, not to put others down but to say women that are natural can be just as sexy as those that pay for their enhancements, women need to be comfortable with their bodies & not focus so much on perfection. I have always said that there is something sexy to be found on every woman. just think the world in another 25 yrs may look like Joan Rivers she is 80 and has no wrinkles..A world of no age, hmmmmmm

Actually there is more to this story.... but I believe your points are valid Lacey - beauty is in the eye... and these contests have really brought this question to the extreme here
- given "they all do it " or so it seems now a days - did this example beg the question - is natural the thing or is the perceived beauty the thing...
Seems to me, if they do surgeries then Miss Canada was just as valid to be in the contest as all the natural women there - natural or not Miss Canada - in the yellow - seems to be a Competitor
- except it seems they had this unpublished Rule from what i've heard that got her kicked out...
It's a tricky question indeed ;-}

Ahhh yes - but that is not my question - if this is a gender contest - it is a "beauty" contest - with augmented women who are as "real" as she is cuz she got the full surgery - no more he there - except the dna - which they might just make a rule now - a dna test to enter - but then the Question is - is it hypocritical - the She got that far -- She is in the news from what I googled after this - photos everywhere - transgender winner - it was not a hidden secret for those that looked - but she must have been convincing - if the "real" ladies didn't notice after she won her way up...
Who do you think was more upset
- the guys that thought she was hot - till they found out "she was born a man"?
The "real" women who were competing against her or those who lost to her??
Or the Miss Universe Contest - who discovered this so late and now brought into question - if a born male can win her way up in the beauty contest - is it a gender contest or a beauty contest - and if its beauty and they say she is kicked out cuz of her gender ??? or she is kicked out because of augmentation - which would get many of them kicked out... hence my question ;-}}
Personally I like Lacey's point about natural (and the desire to want or be made to believe - that is not enough ) - just go back to require "natural" contestants - no surgeries - which actually came from the make up - I'd even say - a no make up portion - like the swim suit of gown portion of the contest... get back to the natural theme and I bet there would be new interest in watching these shows - which are so out of wack now - this is what you get ;-}}

Recently two neuroscientists set about doing a survey of what men and women really fantasize about. They collected data from more than a million websites, a million erotic stories and a half million videos- and ended up with no holds barred data from hundreds of millions of people.
The Result
More men search for nude 50-year old women than naked in their 20s. More than 25 percent of men report that their first sexual fantasy was triggered by a sexy older woman.
One of the most common searches for straight men? Variations on the word 'penis' Theyre interested in reading about size, shape, color - everything. Women dont seem to share that enthusiasm (searches for penises or any other male body part were nonexistent)
Nonprofessionals interest guys far more than porn stars do. Men are also drawn to overweight and normal weight women. Not only did researchers find more sites dedicated to bbw than skinny ones but the most viewed porn features ladies with normal or high BMI's.
No one is alone in what turns them on, there are thousands of erotic stories and websites devoted to every fetish - from vampire sex to dressin up in animal costumes. Proving no matter what your fantasy, its probably standard stuff.
Now my take on the pageant thing is that I personally think that they should only let natural women in them. No enhanced bodies or transexual. Beauty should be about whats inside and what turns men on. It seems to be, from this research that these pageants are doing it all wrong and catering to a minority of men. I would love to see a pageant with natural, all woman, BBWs included pageant.

Chesty, regardless of how one one feels about who should or should not be in a beauty pageant I find it amazing that the pageant organizers and those that approve the final list didn't know she was trans gender.
I have a gut feeling they did know and let her get as far as they did just to draw media attention to the pageant. The more attention they get them more will watch the pageant.
Again I think its a media ploy.

Not many were paying any attention to Miss Universe Canada until this story, and no one had ever heard of Jenna Talackova. Now it's world news. Jenna will be in demand as a model, and Trump who owns the pageant, has an audience. Everyone wins.

I agree with you Bandaids - I hate them myself. As I said to me its just not really what guys want and its certainly not good advertising for young girls- we are trying to get away from the skinny model image. Just my opinion. I also hate the kids pageants to me its making them grow up way too young.

That whole pageant thing is too weird now - too fake and Barbie - I like Chesty and Lacey's points about Beauty and natural - I'd probably watch one again - hey i look at the Swim suit issue while in line and this year it looks like natural was on the cover...
PR - yeah but I'd figure this would be a USA Universe issue vs Canada - will I watch - no - would I if she was still in... maybe just to see if or how far... but it's a gimmick and naw I'd rather watch webcams really - more real beauty here than on those shows... ;-}}
Yeah those kid pageants are very weird and just wrong - I think completion is healthy to learn - losing... creates character and insight as does being a good winner - but to do that to kids - just wrong

My dad was the stage and lighting director for the Miss I'mnotgingtonamethestate pageant as well as various pageants for 20 years. He hated it, but was good at it. I helped out with lighting for a few years. At one pageant a Miss America was there as the guest celebrity. She was a total cunt (and I rarely use that word), so for her I set up an extra set of fresnels and an ellipsoidal with green gels to make her look extra horrid on stage.
I like the Miss Navajo pageant. One of the events is sheep butchering. That's my kind of woman.
