the rude dilemma

i'm tired
last time i checked this was an adult site
but i'm starting to realize that adult content doesn't translate to adult mentality
petty beefs, bickering and feuds
blatant misogyny and thinly veiled racism
cliques, elitism and unchecked egotism
as i've said over and over, i didn't care for high school the FIRST time
i can't even cruise the message boards anymore
and i'm not talking about the brawling pit-i know better than to even let that get on my shoes
i'm talking about the producer board
the 'holier than thou/my needs outweigh yours' mentality has infected it
i never cared for 'unofficial hallway monitors'
not talking bout mods, im talking about certain producers
who blame rule-breakers for their inability to convert their work into chips
or those who obviously wish the rainbow coalition of rude had a few less colors
or gender preferences
or this influx of idiots rushing nightly into the pvt lobby chats
spitting thier bile onto the screen
making an already psychologically difficult job even harder
can u imagine if everyday on the job was your first day?
thats what it seems like to all my female pals who work the lobby
the best thing about the internet is that anyone can say anything
the worst thing about the net is that ANYone can say ANYthing
this community has great potential
but a community is only as storng as its weakest links
and boy, we gotta bunch of those
im lucky enough to have no self-esteem issues
and anyone foolish enough to doubt that and attack me has learned the hard way
but this over-arching sense of 'fuk all y'all' that has infected this site is making me less willing to be around as much
and that's truly a shame
statistically, there are over 6 million people on rude
more than enough for us all to do our thing without stepping on anyone else's toes
yet the power to talk shyt without having to face the physical consequences of that has emboldened far too many
and it doesn't look like its gonna stop anytime soon
i've seen some really happy, lovely, wonderful people destroyed by this
and i gotta say...it pisses me off
its childish
its petty
and its inexcusable
it's time to grow up rudies...before the only people left around here REALLY live up to name of this site

Hi Doc, I came to this thread very late, but now reading, I identify with ever single word you said. I haven't mentioned but I did seriously consider just packing my bags back in July the feeling on the boards was hostile beyond beleif it was disgusting, but in the end I let it go and just got on what what was fun. I have seen character assasinations to such a degree it has made me want to wretch. But, thank god, there are very many lovely people here, who are supportive, interesting, and fun. Rude as a platform is beyond measure, I haven't found anywhere with anywhere near the tools we have here, so I let the shit (as it were) slide on by. Thanks for posting this, and hopefully things are improving in that regard :( |

you said it all there sweetie. that's why i just been doing me lately. that way i dont make someone mad at me over some dumb stuff.. its alot of fakers out here that will down someone eles work just b/c they don't get the hits that some others get.. I think rude is a great place eve with the few lame people that just want to hate and start beef with other. i like to think there are more cool ones then bad one and just so you know your one of the cool ones in my book :) |

Yes Doc I agree! I have seen the racism in just the past 2 weeks! I posted a Thread on The producers board about Michael Jackson and hey ones who hang out on the boards tore the thread a part! Now they thought they were hurting me. I have thick skin. They even named a post Tee on the brawling pit. I will Never go to the boards to post again. I have even been calleda whore by Sweetp4dd because I didn't agree with Sniper. It really is high school shit. They now want me to give up my account. They also put up a post about Michael Jackson hanging from a tree (lynching). |

doc i have seen all that you have talked about in the short time i have been a vip and producer on this site. and like you said there is so much potential to have so much fun on here that it is a big problem that is causing alot of people to chill off rude. it used to be so live on here and now it is calming down alot because of the b.s. it is nonsense and does need to be stopped. we are all on here to have fun and there is more than enough room for all of us. to me the variety is what makes it sooo sexy and hot too so i wouldnt have it any other way.....quite frankly i like to go on tweety page more than alot of these so called big time producers talkin all this smack.....but i beg of you...please dont leave rude....cause you are one of the names i look for in the chats.....its like im home when i see you....so please be patient. cause people like you make rude what it is and we cant afford to lose you.....as well they need to start kicking people off who do those nasty things to girls in the houses.....all they need is to be told that they are beautiful and turned on so that they can return the favor....all that other stuff is for the birds.....anyway, im counting on you to showem how its done......to set the rude bar to a higher standard than it is now and im with you too.....as soon as i get back i will be in the trenches with you.....so please hold on.....deedee.

im afraid the stupidity on rude has been allways there . In the first week i was on rude i got a fight with a producer who really was cruel to a girl. Rude is a great place and im happy that the bullshittalkers are in a far minority but its good to read this blog from you |

AMEN, DOC!!! Not just Rude, but ALL the sites I've ever been a part of, online, have been subject to this mentality and these actions; this "high school" mentality that seeks to only break down an individual who is, unfortunate enough, to be the victim of the attack and serve the person, childish enough, to cast the first blow. I've experienced bits and pieces of this, personally, but never, a full on assault on my character and I hope to never be on the wrong end of this.
All, this to say, I'm really diggin the "Rude vibe" and there are some, as you say, very strong "links" to the Rude chain. But, if the rusty components of this chain continue to spread, then my presence on this site, though not as significant as yours, will be no more.

Wow. I didn't think it was getting that bad, but I have noticed things have started to die down. Rude isn't jumping as much as it used to be. We can't let a few inconsiderate jerks ruin things for everyone. It's easy to hide behind a keyboard and that just tells you the measure of a person. However, I'm optomistic. things will get better. |

We have been so lucky to not have experienced this...We're sure it's because we only do videos. But we have heard about this and it is sad that a place designed to free ourselves and be ourselves may be on the verge of a significant implosion.
All we can do is sort of be like the x-men and choose our sides. Don't leave doc (professor X) we need you and we're ready to take a stand.... |

i agree whole heartly....i have said this time and time again in live group shows....grow up please...i am a dam adult and i carry myself as such....talking about people in shows because they are not my favorite person ain't my thing....so high schoolish.....if you don't like someone then stay out of their shows...house and private lobby and leave them alone.....the adult way.....gosh i do love some parts of this site but it's the people that make it very hard to stomach |
