Ten Rules for Being Human

1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it's yours to keep for the entire period.
2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, "life."
3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately "work."
4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.
5. Learning lessons does not end. There's no part of life that doesn't contain its lessons. If you're alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.
6. "There" is no better a place than "here." When your "there" has become a "here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here."
7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.
8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.
9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to life's questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.
10. You will forget all this.

How the General Population Views Women in the Sex Industry

by Airen StarI like to have the television on when I am at home even if Im not watching it. Its kind of a quirky habit I have; using the TV as background noise while cleaning, doing my make-up (or in todays case, taking some photos). Dr. Drew had Dennis Hof, owner of The Moonlight Bunny Ranch, and his girlfriend on todays show and they were talking with women who wanted to work as prostitutes at the ranch. What really caught my attention though, was the way Dr Drew talked to these women. How he called them desperate and told them they would regret it for the rest of their lives. I stopped what I was doing, sat down and felt the rage build up inside of me. No wonder society has such negative views against women in the sex industry.
Every time we turn on our television some bigoted daytime television host is berating a woman for wanting to choose a career that will allow her to pay for school, feed her kids or put a down payment on a house. They talk down to them, telling them you could do so much better as if selling sex is a last resort for the hopeless and soulless, thus re-enforcing the idea that the sex industry is horrible and anyone in it is fucked up in some way and cannot work a regular job. Sure, many women DO get into the industry out of desperation, but not all of us do. Some of us even enjoy it.
I have worked various sex related jobs and I have never regretted any of it. In fact, I love what I do and do not feel bad or worthless over any of the choices I have made. I have the freedom to be myself, look however I want, be my own boss. I no longer have to smile and clench my teeth at a minimum wage job where over entitled customers yell in my face for something minute and pointless. Women in this industry are strong and smart. I know escorts and strippers who have their shit together more so than any of these close minded assholes that put them down and call them whores. I bet all those parents that were outraged at Sasha Grey for reading to their kids never once did a second of volunteer work or donated to a charity.
We dont want your pity. We dont need to be saved. Either accept us for the amazing people we are, or mind your own fucking business.

Comin' Out the Cam Closet

So, I finally took the step and did something real bold....
....it was a move that was long overdue and the time had arrived to put it all out on the table.
I'll admit, I was nervous about what the reactions would be and what consequences I would have to face
however, nothing could stop me from freeing myself to be myself once and for all.
So, I made a video, confessing to the world....that I am a cam girl and have been for almost 4 years.
Then I posted this video on all the social media outlets and waited....waited for whatever would come....
surprisingly, the response was overwhelmingly positive. I'm sure there were some haters who just ain't came out the woodwork yet, but fk 'em, there were enough people that had my back to make any negativity meaningless.
It was a big step and a bold move, but very necessary, especially for me to be able to take my life and my business to the next level.
I know everyone isn't ready to take a step like this, and announce to the world that you are an virtual porn Queen, King or Couple....however,
IF you've been feeling the need or desire to come out the cam closet...
IF you've been wanting to quit with the cover up and be free to be who your are
IF you've been ready to say, "This is what I do and I'm not ashamed of it one bit"
Then I sincerely urge you to take a deep breath and let it out, because once you "out yourself" I promise it will be one of the most free'ing experiences ever! The weight of it all will be gone, and the reaction just may not be as horrible as you imagine it in your mind....and even if it is..who cares, you'll be proud of yourself, I promise.

Sacred Spaces

Creating Sacred Spaces in the Home
Whether youd prefer to call it a sacred space, quiet space, mediation room, prayer room or even a prayer closet, having a space that is set apart from daily activities is a great way to foster an environment for success in your home. Through creating your sacred space, you will experience peace of mind, balance, mind renewal, focus, creativity, clarity, and heightened spiritual intuition (just to name a few).
Here are some tips on creating your own space that will help you in maximizing your personal growth and success.
Find a place in your home separate from your bedroom and work area. If you're unable to separate from these areas, find a quiet and seldom used corner or place in your home to set up there. Perhaps you can set up a partition or room divider to section off that space just for you.
Make that space as calming and as cozy as possible. Clear out any clutter or over-sized furniture. Use a comfortable chair or chaise. Find a large area rug. Put a plant there. Put a CD player there (for soft music only).
Create the ambiance you desire. Light candles; utilize a prayer rug or a prayer shawl.
Pray over your new space and ask God to make it special.
If you've assessed your home and realize that you have no room whatsoever to create a quiet space for yourself, here are other options...
Use the bathroom in your home to spend some quiet time. (I did this for months before moving into a new house.)
Use your car (just make sure your car is clean and clutter free).
Go to your favorite park or find a corner in your favorite bookstore or local library.
Sit on your patio or balcony.
You'll find that once you make space (no matter where it is), then space will be made for you over a period of time.
Here are some do's and don'ts for your quiet place...
Don't entertain there.
Don't allow anyone to utilize it (unless you're married and can share that space with your spouse).
Don't eat there. You may drink water or calming tea.
Keep this space as quiet as possible at all times (no TV, cell phone, house phone, video games, etc.).
Do pick a certain time of day to spend there (initially).
Do relax your spirit, soul and body.
Do pray, read, meditate, journal and be quiet while there.
Do use the space to the fullest: lie on the floor, sit in your chair, or kneel in prayer.
Do develop a daily practice while you're there.
Remember, your sacred space if a place for you and God alone. While there, purpose to press your way in to your most inner thoughts, hopes and dreams and open your spiritual ears to listen. Be open and receptive, and allow His voice to be your guide. When you do, you will be led to Gods best for your life and you will experience authentic success on all levels: spiritually, mentally, physically, socially, financially and even professionally.

I think sometimes women fake if they are not enjoying themselves and want to get out of the particular sexual situation. As a teen [I did this] to get out of the situation but honestly, nowadays, I'd just be honest if the foreplay/sex wasn't working. 5 Ways to Experience Deeper Meditation
In order to experience the bliss and rejuvenation of meditation, one first needs to understand what it means to be in meditation. Merriam-Webster defines the word meditation as, the act or process of spending time in quiet thought and it is from the Latin root meditatum, meaning to ponder. Meditation is a self-induced, sleep-like, mode of consciousness. Meditation can provide inner peace, inspirational guidance and relief from the symptoms of many chronic diseases.
Here are a few tips for experiencing deeper levels of meditation:
1) Make sure you have extremely quiet surroundings. This is critical to ensuring that you can find the deep peace. For assistance with creating a meditation space, check out my upcoming post on Creating Sacred Spaces
2) You must have accurate posture to allow the free movement and the correct breathing necessary for achieving deep meditation. Using a pillow to sit on helps you to stay properly balanced. Lying on the floor also works well, just don't fall asleep!
3) Use prayer beads to count prayers, a candle flame, or the smoke from incense, as a point of focus. Doing this can aid in reaching deeper levels of meditation. Meditation music or chanting helps as well, however, deep meditative states are also achieved during silence. You will need to find what works best for you.
4) Tell your body to relax. Start at your toes and use your subconscious voice to instruct your toes, feet, ankles, legs, etc. to relax and release. Breathe into each area you wish to relax. You may need to repeat these instructions to your body two or three times before you experience the transcendental relaxation.
5) Be still and always come back to the breath. Release your wants, needs and worries and focus on the feeling of breathing. You will find your mind going here and there but do not resist this activity. Acknowledge the thoughts that arise during your meditation without judgment, and then release them by bringing your focus back to your inhale and exhale.
Consistency in your meditation practice will be the key to achieving those deeper levels of consciousness. It will not happen overnight. However, the benefits of learning how to block out both outer and inner noise are worth the effort of regular practice. By using the tips above, you will eventually become more in tune with your consciousness, have better control of your actions and emotions, and know how to maintain a peaceful state, no matter what is going on around you.

Open Relationship Rules

For some reason, people have always seen me as a counselor, therapist, problem solver. I guess its because Im a good listener or maybe because they know Im a solutions focused type of person. Either way, lately, many people have been coming to me about their relationship issues or peeves about relationships in general.
Often the subject of progressive, or open relationships comes up. To some men they sound like the stuff dreams are made of...the ability to be with multiple women without punishment. For the ladies, Ive heard mixed emotions ranging from, HAYYYLLLE to the NAHLL, my man is mine! Im not sharing to Well, Id rather know whats going on, then be lied to and betrayed behind my back.
Now, Im no expert on relationships, especially the open kind, so I contacted the person I felt was best qualified to speak on this topic of open relationships and what they really are like for the couples who choose this path.
Im super excited to share with you my recent interview with celebrity love coach, best selling author, and founder of The Progressive Love Movement, Mrs. Kenya K. Stevens.

Explain some things that may let a couple know that they are ready to open their relationship?
I wrote an article on this one... Ten Ways To Know You're Ready For An Open Relationship. But the key points are simple. Do you know the real purpose of sex? Do you know about tantric sex? Do you know that sex is sacred? Do you understand the true purpose of relationships?
The answer to these questions are something many dont even think about... and if they do, they have wavering answers... This wont work in the open relationship set. Open relationships are about mindful living... responsible living and having a serious commitment and accountability to more than just one person, but especially to oneself!
Anyone who wants an open relationship must first have great relationships - with Self, Source, others, and a preferably a Primary love... Also, these persons must understand what a relationship is - relationships are OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH - thats all! Nothing more, nothing less. Sound romantic? I think not. The entire purpose of relating to other human beings is to be challenged to grow character.
Open relationships are not a joke. They should be embarked upon by mature people who know that leaving a relationship when the going gets tough, shaming and blaming others for relationships problems, and posing as victim in relationships are unacceptable. Most dont think on this level, so Id say most simply are not ready...
Give us some reasons why a couple may want to avoid an open relationship? What circumstances would make having an open relationship a bad idea?
Its a bad idea to open a relationship in order to save the relationship. It wont work. Another bad idea is opening a relationship where one partner is not on board. Both partners should be ready for the work and challenges that lie ahead.
To open the relationship means a rejection of typical American thought. This is not an easy undertaking! The staples of American relationships are jealousy, fear, insecurity and envy. TO sidestep these, both partners should be on board for the work!
What are some issues that develop once a couple decides to open their relationship? What are the typical points for resistance?
The points of resistance are simple. He is out with another woman and you are pissed, afraid, upset, off the hook and going crazy. Now what are you going to do? You have no idea, right? Which is why so many steer away from living authentic relationships such as open relationships.
The deal is that we need training to do this. In fact, we need training to Master Monogamy in the first place. There is no easy way to overcome 25+ years of baggage like anger issues, insecurity, jealousy, envy, and depression. Each challenge that arises in an open relationships should be met by two mindful people who realize they have to support one another.
For instance, my husband and I have both dealt with these feelings in our open marriage. We have had to support one another. So when either of us come home from another lover, we take time to re-integrate ourselves. Whomever was gone out with another, and even made love to another, comes close to the one who stayed home. We take time to let our partner know that we love them very much, missed them, and are fully in love and devoted to the other. This is called compassion. Necessary for open love.
How can both partners best prepare for the journey that is open relationships?
To prepare for the journey into open relationships, a couple must size up their singular relationship and make sure they know the ground rules. These are not actually rules at all as we believe rules are for fools. But these are foundational principles that we live by in our open relationship.
1. No shame No Blame - there should be no blaming or shaming the other for what they do, dont do, or have done in the past... there cant be for open relating to work!
2. No cop outs No Drop outs - there should be no exit route... this couple should be a forever things, that is the commitment.
3. No victims No Villains - make sure your relationship is free of placing either partner in the victim or villains roles... to open both parties have to know that they are each creating their own lives...
4. The purpose is Growth, The benefit is Love. - make sure you know the main purpose of relationships... Growth. The benefit of working through issues with your partner with a life long commitment is so that you can actually foster real love... real love has the four qualities listed here.
What advice would you have for someone who is or is considering being involved with a person in an open relationship?
Try not to consider the idea of having your new partner leave their current relationship. This is the problem with single people dating married people, or people in open relationships. They want exclusivity but this is not the nature of an open relationship. This has to be known and accepted up front. No secret motive to the contrary...

I have to disagree with all this. I can't see the logic behind an open relationship. It seems like a desperate attempt on one side or the other to keep someone they feel is their treasure or one above all. Thinking you need an open relationship is like something that happens between two people in a mid life crisis. She even said that after one comes home from an affair they have to reassure one another that the love they share is real and nothing can break that. But if it truly is you wouldn't need an open relationship right? I'll stop there I'm sure there are many arguments but I'm saying it's not genuine just promicuity or trying to find that real love. |

HOURS: Nightly 11pm -1a, Wednesdays Midnight - 1a; Saturdays Midnight -1a; Total 12-16 hours per week. Central Time.
POSITION SUMMARY: Moderators act as virtual bodyguard and hype man/woman. Moderators watch over the chat during group shows and live house chat.

 Soooo, I went to the gyno today for my annual exam. During my exam, she asked me if I had been having any pain or abnormal discharge, and I said no....because I hadn't.
Well, she comes back with a diagnosis of BV (Bacterial Vaginosis). It's basically a severe yeast infection as a result of PH imbalance in the vajay-jay. I was quite surprised at this diagnosis because I have had BV before and from my recollection is was a quite agonizing experience that I would never forget and would instantly recognize if it returned....or so I thought... Basically, in this instance, I was asymptomatic and if I hadn't gone to the doc, I wouldn't have known it had come back.
I was telling a friend about what happened and he asked me a strange question...,"Have you been eating any smoked foods?"
"Smoked Foods?", I asked...and after I thought about it, I said, "Well, yeah I been eating a lot of beef jerky lately"
He told me to look up smoked foods and vaginal health....low and behold, he put me on to something I didn't know about my own vagina!
Apparently, while BV can be brought on by several factors, it is often exacerbated (college word - look it up) by diets rich in yeast and sugar, foods like breads, alcohol, cheese, even fresh and dried fruits.
I guess the saying, "You are what you eat" reigns true once again.
So, I encourage the ladies to 1) get checked out regularly, as obviously something could be goin on in there that you're not aware of and 2) watch what you are eating, your vajay-jay's health depends on it! Read labels too, they hide sugar in the most unexpected places these days

I posted about my experience because I was just so surprised, I didn't realize the connection between diet and vaginal health....and also Diabetes runs deep in my family and chronic yeast infections are a sign of diabetes. So I just wanted to put it out there to those women who think that if something was wrong they would feel it, because I felt nothing unusual and it could have turned out really bad.
