Fascination

In my last blog post, I brought up the topic of curiosity and a little about the interest that stems from it. In this post, I want to discuss what shifts my curiosity to a state of fascination.
Fascination, as described in the dictionary, primarily states this..."an attraction that is held attentively by a unique power, personal charm, unusual nature or some other special quality".
So, what is it that takes me from being curious about a person to me being fascinated by them? Well, honestly, it depends on the person. It could be the basis of their strengths or the root of their weaknesses. It could be their willingness to face their fears, head on or the way they deal with opposition. I am fascinated by the human will and the power that it holds.
I find myself fascinated, not by power in itself but rather, those that wisely use and withhold it, according to the situation at hand. Sexually, I am fascinated by those that have limited restrictions. There is something captivating to me about a person whose self image is not consumed by the interpretations of their peers. I guess that you can say, in abbreviated terms... I become enchanted by a certain willingness. **wink*wink**
Confidence is something that can reflect in one or more aspects of a person's life. I do find confidence attractive but it only fascinates me when it bleeds into more than just their sexuality.
Sensuality can be entrancing. Its waaaayyyyy more thoughtful than a sexual overture. It can be oh so subtle. Those that master the art of it will always hold a certain amount fascination for me.
I am certain that there are more things. Those were just the thoughts I have on the subject for the moment. I hope that you will take the time to tell me one or two things that fascinate you about a Lover. You can post the response in the comment section, below.

Fascination is the intellectuals response to emotions we can't possibly put into words. It's a mindset which can drive us to be ever so much more than we ourselves believe, just by focusing on one item at a time, and exploring it completely. I personally love fascination and find myself captivated (as you so eloquently put) quite often in the most unexpected places. |
