Description: Howdy y'all, this fine feathered friend, the evening grosbeak was one of my first patrons at my birdfeeder. Just so happens that sunflower seeds are a staple in his diet. This is a mature male about 6 inches long with a wingspan of 12-14 inches. Its distinctive mark is the yellow bar above his eyes. It is a member of the finch family but one of the larger species...Kewl beans!
